Dear Riverside County residents,

As we gather this Independence Day to celebrate our country and freedom, we thank you for your tolerance and understanding as we continue to make significant progress on State Route 91.

The Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) and hundreds of construction workers are braving record high temperatures as they work to deliver this project safely, on time, and on budget as responsible stewards of your hard-earned taxpayer dollars.

Yet, we understand that an ambitious project like this causes inconvenience to your daily life. We hear you. True to the values of our nation, we will keep striving to be responsive to your concerns and finish the 91 Project in a way that leaves a legacy of which our community can be proud.

As we enter the project's homestretch through summer and into 2017, stay tuned to our website ( or Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram pages for help navigating from point A to point B. Have a question or a suggestion? Give us a call: 1-877-770-9191.

Though we know it isn't easy to see orange cones on the road, this Fourth of July we look ahead together with you to see red, white, and blue - and everything that makes us proud to be part of this community and nation.

Most importantly, if you're driving this weekend, please mind the road: Don't text, don't drink and drive, and enjoy your three-day weekend with your family and friends.

Thank you for all the hard work you do as residents of our county.

The 91 Project Team
