Is additional property needed for the project?

If approved, the project will require the acquisition of additional right of way. Acquisitions will follow all applicable state and federal requirements to ensure property owners are compensated for the property acquired and receive all the relocations assistance benefits to which they are entitled.

Generally, property acquisition cannot occur until the environmental document is approved (currently expected during the first half of 2011). However, there may be opportunities for RCTC to purchase selected properties now, but only if certain conditions are met, such as showing a specific hardship or imminent development.
